Jan, it looks like we walked into Narnia. It’s exquisitely beautiful–even a few days later. At night when the car lights hit the trees, the branches reflect the light in a way that makes them look like giant glass spider webs. Really incredible.
The downside is that much of the area has been without power for a few days, and the poor trees are straining under the weight of the ice. Kiera and Graidy find it difficult to walk on the glass grass. It hurts their feet. And many trees have snapped in half, with many others suffering broken limbs. We’ll be cleaning up for a while.
Not being in it, it looks like diamonds and emeralds scattered over the earth.
