… Read MoreI have an adolescent male Aussie who, when on the leash, gets extremely worked up when he senses (hears, sees) another dog. All his attention goes straight to “I gotta get to that dog! I gotta get to that dog!”.
There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood and thankfully most of them are leashed when their moms and dads walk them. However, Remy (my aussie) has a meltdown even if the dog is several blocks away.

I’d talked about getting Graidy’s DNA test done. Well, the results have come back and, in a million years, I never would have guessed American Eskimo Dog! I can absolutely see the Border Collie and some kind of spaniel mix–though not English Springer Spaniel. My best guess was Border Collie/ Brittany Spaniel. The mystery is finally over.
Lots of animal families live on our little corner of the wild kingdom. This family of wild turkeys is the most recent to take up residence. I find them particularly interesting in light of my recent viewing of PBS’ My Life as a Turkey.
