Riley is a picky eater. A very picky eater. I didn’t even know it was possible to have a dog that’s not totally food driven. Over the course of my life, I’ve lived with 20 dogs and this is a first for me.

2. Baby gates everywhere and there is no baby.

3. Dog toys and dog beds strewn about with reckless abandon.

4. Dog treats out on the counter for instant training access.

5. Caught red-handed!
I’m typing this post with one hand. I could blame this on Riley recovering from a routine puppy visit to the vet. And that would also coincidentally be true. But the fact is this is his favorite spot in the house.

I really really tried to wait a year. Best laid plans… The cycle of life begins again.
Meet Riley.
I admit it. I have dogs on my brain. I’ve made it a whole 9 months without a dog. That’s closing in on a new record for me. It’s not that I don’t miss Finn, too. I do. But cats don’t fall into the “can’t live without” category for me.
So I was curious. Where do most people fall in the “can’t live without” category? Looks like it depends on what country you live in.
